Take your Julep To The Next Level

Sip and Vibe SLC's Mixed Berry Julep is a fresh and succulent summer sipper featuring a supple mixture of blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, mint and bourbon.

This is our signature drink and also one of our most popular. We used a marinated berry sauce over the in the drink as well as a garnish.

1 1/2 ounces Plymouth gin
1 ounce Maria Brizard No. 21 Blackberry liqueur
1 ounce simple syrup
1 tablespoon of mixed-berry marinade

Shake all the ingredients (expect the marinade) with ice and strain into a highball glass filled with crushed ice. Stir until the glass begins to frost. Garnish with the berry marinade. Serve with a teaspoon on the side so the guest can enjoy the berries.

Mixed Berry Marinade

Makes 3 Pints

Wash and dry a pint each of blueberries, hulled and quartered strawberries, and a pint of mixed black and red raspberries and place them in a bowl. Cover with 1 1/2 cups of superfine sugar. After 3 hours add 1 1/2 ounces of brandy and 3 ounces of Cointreau and gently stir the mixture. Set aside to macerate for an hour, stirring occasionally.
