Learn how to handcraft three vodka cocktails from scratch!

In this mixology class we'll guide you through creating three vodka cocktails using classic techniques. You'll begin with a juicy and sparkly blackberry mule. Dubbed as the mic drop, you'll then prepare a vodka cocktail with lemon and mint that packs a sour punch. You'll end class on a sweet note with a café martini.

Blackberry Mule

The Blackberry Moscow Mule is a vibrant twist on the classic mule, combining the tart sweetness of blackberries with the crisp kick of vodka and ginger beer. This refreshing cocktail is perfect for any occasion!

Blackberry Moscow mule in a copper mug on wooden table filled with dark berry drink, garnished with mint and lime. Black straws, scattered lime slices, and berries.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

  • 6-8 fresh blackberries

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 4-6 oz ginger beer

  • Ice cubes

  • Fresh mint and blackberries for garnish

Directions:

Muddle the blackberries: In a copper mug or mixing glass, add the fresh blackberries, limes, and simple syrup. Gently muddle until the blackberries and limes release their juices.

Add the vodka: Pour in the vodka and stir well to combine.

Fill with ice: Add ice cubes to the mug, filling it about 3/4 of the way.

Top with ginger beer: Pour ginger beer over the ice until the mug is full. Stir gently to mix.

Garnish and serve: Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a couple of blackberries on a cocktail pick. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Mic Drop

Make a bold statement with the Vodka Mic Drop, a show-stopping cocktail that combines the crispness of vodka with vibrant citrus and a touch of sweetness. Finished with a dramatic garnish, this drink guarantees all eyes (and taste buds) on you.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice

  • 1 oz lavender simple syrup (recipe below)

  • 2 oz club soda

  • Ice

  • Fresh lavender sprig (for garnish)

  • Lemon wheel (optional, for garnish)

Directions:

Fill a shaker with ice.

Add vodka, lemon juice, and lavender simple syrup to the shaker.

Shake well until chilled, about 15-20 seconds.

Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.

Top with club soda and gently stir to combine.

Garnish with a fresh lavender sprig and a lemon wheel, and serve immediately.

Espresso Martini

The Vodka Espresso Martini is a sophisticated cocktail with the perfect blend of caffeine and spirit. With its smooth texture, bold coffee flavor, and touch of sweetness, it’s a go-to for coffee and cocktail enthusiasts.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka

  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso (cooled)

  • 1 oz coffee liqueur

  • 0.5 oz mocha simple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • Ice cubes

  • Optional: Cookies-and-cream cookie crumbs for rimming

  • Garnish: Light sprinkle of vanilla bean

Directions:

Prepare the Glass: If rimming the glass, moisten the rim with a bit of simple syrup.

Dip the rim into cookies-and-cream cookie crumbs for a decadent finish.

Combine Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker, add vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, and mocha simple syrup.

Add Ice and Shake: Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds. This creates a frothy texture.

Strain and Serve: Strain the mixture into a chilled martini or coupe glass.

Garnish and Enjoy: Top with 3 coffee beans for a classic touch or a light sprinkle of cocoa powder for extra flair.
